Inspections Booking on PermAssist

Step 01
Add Inspection Types to all PA applications using the System Admin --> Inspection Type option.

Select the System Admin from Menu and Select Inspection Types from Submenu.


Under the Template tab, add the necessary inspection types.


Click on the ''New Template''

Then you can add Inspection Type. And Select VBA Inspection Type according to the inspection type you added.
Once you submitted it, the inspection types would be added. 

Also, You can create Template Groups for different template types.
That would be done by adding ''New Group'' under the Template Group tab.

You can give a Name and create a Group. And once you create a group you can add it to the necessary Inspection Types.

Also, here you able to Edit Inspection Type, Delete Inspection Type, or Edit Checklist.


Any direction to be followed by the inspector should be included in the Checklist.

So, once you click on the Edit Checklist you can customize written direction to be followed by the inspector.


Step 02 
How to Book Inspections in PermAssist
First, You should go to the Application that you need to Add Inspection. And find the Inspection section from there.



Before you add inspection, Decisions have to be added. 
If Decisions are not added, a message will appear denoting that Decisions must be added in the Decision section before booking an inspection.


Different ways to add an inspection;


Add One Inspection;


You can click on the “Add one Inspection” icon to add individual inspection. This will allow you to add one inspection at a time.

Once you click on Add Inspection, You can see a window like below;



01 - Add Inspection Type. 
02 - VBA Inspection type will be automatically loaded once you add the Type.
And Add the other relevant details.
03 - Click on the Submit button. 
 

Add Multiple inspections; 

Click on the “Add Multiple Inspections” icon to add Multiple Inspections.

Here, You just need to add the ‘’Inspection Type’’ one by one.

You can add as many as you want. And click on the submit button.  
And after adding multiple inspections, it just adds the inspection type and the other information has to be entered by clicking on the Edit button.

Click on the “Add Inspections from template” icon to add Inspections from the templates.

You can add inspection from templates that you create in the System Admin like below.


Once you add, inspections, it will just appear like below; 


Manage inspection folder
This is the inspection folder.

You can add a new folder And can sorting inspections using this feature.


Add written direction

You can add written directions from here.

Hide or show inspection on Permit

If you need, you can select the inspections and hide them  So that it doesn't show in the inspection.

Here, you able to use Inspection Actions like below.


01. Edit → You can edit inspection as you need.


02. Written Direction to Fix Building Work
→ Any directions to be followed by the inspector should be included here.


03. Forms → Preview, Download as pdf, word or Save to Document.


04. Checklist → You can add a checklist or if you add, you can select items
Inspection Checklist items coming like below;



As mention before, That has been adding according to the checklist you created in System Admin.



05. Inspection Photos → Photos added by the inspectors will come up here.


06. Delete inspection.



Step 03

Inspection Scheduler

Once you added Inspection from the Application, You have to go to the Inspection tab from the Menu bar.

Here, it will show up the inspections based on the date which you gave in while creating the inspection.


You're able to filter your inspections as your need. 



How to Assign Inspectors;

Click on the tick boxes and select the inspections like the below image. 



Then, Click on the Assign Inspectors icon at the top of the inspection scheduler.

Here you can Select the inspector and you can choose to Notify them or not.


Once you submit, it will get assigned to Inspectors.
